The event was made even more special by the presence of our partner and Founder of Reading Heart, Danay Ferguson, who joined in the celebrations at the commencement.

Empowering Youth: CalViva Health at the Health Youth Corps Showcase

CalViva Health proudly participated in the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools’ annual Health Youth Corps Showcase. This event celebrates the achievements of high school students in the Health Youth Corps, a program dedicated to educating and empowering youth to understand and address the social determinants of health. Students learn to be ambassadors amongst their peers and assist in building capacity for schools to improve health outcomes for their students.

Building a new home for the Marjaree Mason Center

CalViva Health is proud to support the groundbreaking of Marjaree Mason Center’s new Isnardi Foundation Community Resource Center. The groundbreaking marked a historic step forward in enhancing the support for survivors of domestic violence in Fresno County. With a 37,680 square foot facility, the new center will double the current physical service capacity, offering comprehensive non-residential services such as a 24/7 crisis response hotline, mental health services, a children’s enrichment center, and much more. This expansion is crucial for meeting the growing needs of our community and ensuring safe, accessible support for all. We celebrate the Marjaree Mason Center’s dedication to creating a space that will serve as a beacon of hope and healing. Partnerships that build a safe community 

In November 2023, the Marjaree Mason Center announced a capital campaign, Courage Takes Root, in conjunction with a two-week Community Challenge from November 1-15, aimed at building a new Community Resource Center that meets the ongoing, critical need for services and the vision of a domestic violence-free community. During the press conference, CalViva Health was thrilled to surprise the team at Marjaree Mason Center with a $150,000 donation for the construction of their organization’s new home! CalViva Health is a proud supporter of the Courage Takes Root campaign and looks forward to the lasting and life-changing impact the new Center will have in the community.
